ISLBA NewLogon 1980, the South Lansing Business Association, (SLBA), was organized as a civic organization for the betterment of the city of Lansing with an emphasis on the south Lansing area.  Our members are from all walks of life, including small business owners, community leaders, bankers, lawyers, and industry officials. Members of the SLBA most importantly, share a common interest in Lansing's south side.  SLBA has been involved with a number of important issues such as, improvements to Cedar Street, business district clean-ups, and sign ordinance legislation.  The SLBA knows the importance of good communication between government and private enterprise, and works to ensure those lines are always open.

Make a donation to support Operation Santa!

SLBA member and Past President, Jan Mayhew, organized Operation Santa in 1994 as a holiday project to help needy children.  Since then, the program has grown exponentially.  For many years now, SLBA has participated by supporting students from Forest View Elementary in south Lansing.  The school identifies students who are most in need of some Santa magic and each student lists a few items they would like to receive.  Many times, students wish for warm clothes or new bedding.  Wish cards are available, or you may make a donation for the Elves to use as needed.
